Ford Racing technology contracted Roush Racing to test the viability of Probe SRS Series pistons for their crate motor program. The test consisted of six hours of break-in and dialing in the power level (525hp), followed by a grueling six more hours of oval track dyno testing. RPM levels fluctuated between 4,000 and 7,000 with a variety of load conditions. Furthermore, mixture and timing were altered from very rich to very lean.

Richard Holdner of Muscle Mustang & Fast Fords Magazine used Probe SRS Series pistons for cylinder head testing. He tested 18 different heads at 600 - 640 HP at Westech Performance Group in Pomona CA.

These pistons are the result of testing. You can see a perfect skirt and totally sealed top ring.
The skirts look the same as they did when they were removed from the box. The piston showed a perfect skirt with nearly no wear. The top ring remained completely sealed, meaning that there was no combustion pressure past top ring.
It means that whether you have a tow rig, street machine, or a race car, you can count on Probe forged pistons.
