Rods are created equal. Not even ours. Probe maintains, in stock,
FOUR distinct types of connecting rods to cover any
situation. No matter which connecting rod you choose, these components
are designed and manufactured to provide you unequaled quality and
value. |

These
connecting rods are the hi-tech answer to hand polished connecting
rods. A fully machined periphery provides a consistency of finish
not possible with a hand finished beam. Built to withstand the brutal
environments associated with virtually all high performance engines.
Recommended for engines in bracket, oval track, and most street
and strip applications. |

Manufactured
for high horsepower applications where strength is mandatory but
a significant reduction in weight is desired. Probe Lightweight
Steel Connecting Rods are manufactured of 4340 Steel which provides
the excellent strength to weight ratio and are about 50 grams lighter
than most H-beams. The Lightweight features 7/16 ARP cap screws
and are dowelled to eliminate cap walk.

Probe
H-Beam Steel Rods are precision forged of select 4340 aircraft quality
steel, vacuum degassed to remove impurities. Probe rods are forged
in two pieces to insure proper grain flow. All surfaces are then CNC
machined into our track proven H-Beam design and shot-peened to relieve
stress. We then install silicon bronze bushings for increased wear
resistance and precision ground alignment sleeves in the rod cap to
prevent cap walk under high horsepower loads. |

For
use in very high rpm engines, two barrel oval track, and drag motors
with no power adders. Designed to provide maximum performance with
a minimum of rotating mass. Painstakingly manufactured from premium
2 piece 4340 steel forgings, which will insure proper grain flow for
maximum strength. Then fully machined on the latest in CNC equipment
to ensure dimensional accuracy. Lastly ARP 8740 rod bolts are installed
through the dowelled rod caps.
