Co-Op Advertising Program
Eligibility
Probe Industries forged piston accounts will be
eligible for a co-op advertising credit of 100% of their expenditures for
advertising Probe Industries Forged Pistons (with proof of performance) up to a
maximum credit of 2% of their 2002 calendar year’s net purchases. To qualify
the account must have purchased $40,000.00 or more from Probe Industries during
the calendar year 2003. Further, only sales of Probe Industries Forged Pistons
will be included in that total. This Co-Op program is available only to
authorized Probe Industries Warehouse Distributors and does not apply to any
advertising done by jobber accounts.
Definition of Acceptable Advertising
a. Advertisements must be placed in recognized
trade or consumer automotive magazines or newspapers having audited circulation.
b. Wholesale or retail catalog pages,
newsletters, tabloids, or fliers produced by a warehouse distributor. Credits
for these items will be based on “proof of performance” documentation. “Rate
Cards” for in house catalogs, tabloids, etc., may or may not be honored, but
will be evaluated based on “audited” circulation statistics and/or
reasonableness compared to other publications.
c. Reasonable open house, jobber shows, door
prizes, and special promotions costs, with prior written approval. These event
will not be participated in by Probe Industries except as from co-op advertising
accrual.
d. Radio or television spots, with prior
approval, based upon Probe Industries percentage of mention per spot.
e. Generally promotion other that those listed
will not qualify for credit. These include, but are not limited to, line card
listings, invoice messages, signs on buildings or vehicles, T-Shirts, fishing
trips, picnics, postage, birthday celebrations, anniversaries, etc. Unusual
promotions that you intend to submit for co-op credit must be approved, in
writing, by an authorized agent of Probe Industries prior to your committing
those funds.
f. Expenses for photography, layout copy, art,
production costs, agency costs, etc. are not allowed under this co-op program.
GST and other taxes are also not allowed.
Proof of Performance
Proof of performance is defined as a tear sheet from the advertisement or a
physical example of the flier, catalog, tabloid, etc., and copies of paid
invoices for printing expenses or media costs. Proof of performance must be
submitted no later than the annual co-op closing date..
Co-Op credits will be issued annually. In no case will Probe Industries
issue checks for co-op advertising claims.
In advertisements where Probe Industries forged pistons are featured with
other products, the co-op credit will be limited to the total expenditure,
multiplied by the fraction of the total space dedicated to Probe Industries
forged pistons.
The Probe Industries logo and a product illustration or photo must appear
within the advertisement to comply with the co-op requirements.
Account condition.
No co-op advertising credit will be issued to account that have a “past due”
balance, until that account is made current. Accounts that fail to comply with
the Probe Industries current MAP (minimum advertised price) policy are not
eligible for co-op assistance.
This co-op program is in effect January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003.
All co-op advertising claims must be submitted no later than March 31, 2004
for credit.
