They are forged in two pieces to insure proper grain flow, then all surfaces are CNC machined into a track proven H-Beam design and shot-peened to relieve stress. For use in very high rpm engines, Probe Industries Ultralight I-Beam - 4340 Connecting Rods for Sport Compact Applications are designed to provide maximum performance with a minimum of rotating mass. Ultralight Rods are painstakingly manufactured from premium 2 piece 4340 steel forgings, which will insure proper grain flow for maximum strength. They are then fully machined on the latest in CNC equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy. Lastly ARP 8740 rod bolts are installed through the doweled rod caps.
