SCAT manufactures two grades of Crankshafts, Forged 4340 Steel and Cast Steel. Within each material grade series they offer varied weight designs from standard weight, Q-Lite to their Ultra Light Weight all out competition cranks for over one hundred combinations of stroke and rod lengths in mind. If you cannot find it from SCAT, chances are it's not made. SCAT Cranks typically feature: Profiled aero-wing counterweights, Straight shot & chamfered oil holes, Nitride hardened for superior wear reisistance, Lightening holes in all rod throws, Large radius on all journals, CNC machined for absolute tolerances and symmetry for ease of balance and for reduced rotating weight.

Forged 4340 Steel

SCAT's 4340 Crankshafts are machined from a premium 4340 steel and are heat treated for maximum strength and typically feature: Straight shot & chamfered oil holes, Nitride hardened for superior wear reisistance, Lightening holes in all rod throws Large radius on all journals, Precision ground, Heat treated, shot peened, All Inspected & micropolished at SCAT. For absolutely serious street and racing applications, these crankshafts are the only choice. They are perfect for high horsepower, torque and RPM's and work great for all levels of power adders. Weights available in Standard, Light Weight, Ultra Light and Q Light.
Cast Steel

SCAT's Cast Steel Crankshafts are manufactured of high carbon steel in a variety of applications and strokes. They are inspected at SCAT in the USA and typical features include: Precision ground and micro polished, NO more hassles with poor quality crank cores, Simplify your bearing stocks to all standard/standard size. SCAT's Cast Steel Crankshafts are perfect for any performance application up to 500 HP and come in standard and light weight designs.
